For me, and you might feel differently, the idea of teaching children at this young age is to introduce them to the language of English. This means getting the students used to the sounds, interactions, and basic communication in English. I think it is also important to have a lot of fun doing this so the students do not even feel like they are studying a language. They will have many years to improve their language skills as they get older, so at this stage, I think it is important to keep it fun and exciting for the children.

Some general advice about teaching children: Stay relaxed and happy in the classroom. Smile a lot, be goofy sometimes, make eye contact, call the children by their names, always be aware of the safety of the children, and have fun.
